Easter arrives at Brimpton CofE Primary School
This year saw the annual gift of Easter eggs to our local primary school. We distributed 54 eggs this year to make sure that every child at least got one egg this year.
Did you know that Eggs are a forbidden food during Lent, making them a welcome return to the menu on Easter Day. Traditionally birds eggs were given at Easter and painted bright colours to give them further meaning as a gift. These days, of course, we give chocolate eggs (far nicer!!), but both hold true the meaning of celebrating new life.
So there you have it eggs and education combined this Easter!
