Comprehensive solutions for waste water pumps: Industry-leading expertise and innovation

When it comes to installing a kitchen sink, a full kitchen, or even a utility room in an area not originally designed for such purposes, the flexibility of your wastewater management system is crucial. At Pump Technology Ltd, we offer an extensive range of floor-mounted waste water pumps that provide you with the freedom to place your installation virtually anywhere, regardless of the original layout. This flexibility extends to utility rooms, laundry facilities, and other areas where efficient wastewater management is essential.

Our floor-mounted waste water pumps are engineered to handle demanding environments, including those that involve the disposal of hot water from commercial appliances like combination ovens. This level of durability and performance has made our systems the preferred choice for major brands, such as KFC, which has selected our pumps through their combination oven suppliers. The reason is simple: our pumps are specifically designed to handle the high volumes of very hot water that are routinely disposed of in commercial kitchens.

As the only supplier specialising in dirty water pumps capable of managing very hot, contaminated water—common in commercial kitchens, laundries, and coffee preparation areas—we understand that each customer’s needs are unique. Our comprehensive product range ensures that we have a solution tailored to your specific requirements. Whether you are dealing with the demands of a bustling restaurant, a high-traffic coffee shop, or an industrial laundry facility, our wastewater pumps are designed to meet and exceed expectations.

Enhancing your waste water pumps with essential add-ons

In addition to our primary wastewater pump systems, we offer a variety of add-on products designed to optimise performance and ensure longevity. For example, all our systems incorporate charcoal filters, such as the Charco vent and micro vent, to effectively manage odours during the venting process.

For applications like hairdressing salons, our inline strainers (PTL 1LS) are a vital addition, preventing hair from entering the pump system and ensuring smooth operation. (However, it is important to note that these strainers are not designed for handling grease or food particles commonly found in kitchen sinks.) To further enhance reliability, we offer a range of high-level alarms that can be integrated with our floor-mounted systems, providing an additional layer of security should the pump fail to activate.

Trusted by industry leaders

Our wastewater pump systems are trusted by some of the most respected names in the retail and food service industries. Companies like Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons, Waitrose, Café Nero, and Costa Coffee have relied on our pumps for over 15 years, a testament to the quality and reliability of our products.

When you choose Pump Technology Ltd, you are choosing industry-leading expertise, innovative solutions, and a commitment to excellence in wastewater management. Contact us today to find the perfect wastewater pump system for your needs.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know when to use a single or dual pump system?2021-04-15T14:16:21+00:00

For domestic applications, you would normally select a single pump system. If the wastewater pump is for a commercial kitchen you would select a dual, duty standby configuration so service in the restaurant can continue whilst you are awaiting a maintenance engineer.

Does the pump come with an alarm?2024-08-15T10:11:37+00:00

A high-level alarm can be specified as an extra. Alarms will have volt free contacts for a BMS and can be connected to solenoid valves to shut of incoming water feed to dish / washing machines for example.

Can I pump hot water?2021-04-15T14:18:31+00:00

Your standard submersible pump is designed to operate with fluid temperatures up to 40 deg c, for short periods only, up to 60 deg c. You need a dedicated hot wastewater pump if the temperatures are above this.

How do I select the correct wastewater pump?2021-04-15T14:11:25+00:00

You will need to know the following information about your application. Then call a dedicated pump expert to select the correct product for you. How far do you want to pump, height, electric supply- Single or Three phase, liquid nature- Temperature, solids, chemicals.
